I have been an Orkin Customer with the Alsip Branch #520 since 2012. The Manager there is Jim Montalbano. Yes the customer service has been questionable in the past BUT the customer service and blatant DISRESPECT I EXPERIENCED on 11/29/22 was LIKE NOTHING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE IN MY LIFETIME WITH A BUSINESS. Mice are magically getting into upstairs unit and no where else. In June 2022 a "specialist" came and refused to get out the car because it was raining. I've been calling and asking since June 2022 to send someone back out. My regular tech said he would text the specialist. No one has reached out to me and it's Oct 28 2022. Issue is not resolved. When you call Alsip IL location entire staff has an attitude like they're the ones being inconvenienced.
Scam artists ! I was quoted $171 for the month and she said it included 10 type of insects and rodents. The guy gets here and looks in the basement and looks outside and then hands me a paper for a contact of $594 for the year!!! What? No one told me any of this when I made the appointment!! I don't appreciate being mislead and lied to. Now it's $224 for the month. I will never use these scam artists for anything ! They just flat out lied !!!!!
Orkin service does seem to work on pest control but.. . customer service is not good. Added charges appear without explanation. Services such as mosquito control are added on unwanted and said to be part of program but you are actually charged for it seperately. Scheduling is done arbitrary. They do not call to see when it is convenient for you. So you have to call them back to reschedule. I will admit all the actual service providers were polite & professional. Recommend it only if you ask many, many questions.
It's been a week and a half since I called to cancel service. I was told I would get a call from the manager in 24-48 hours to ask about service(most likely to entice me to to not cancel) . Still have not received any refund on account. I called again twice this week, and they said they issued refund request but will call me back to see where the funds are... umm funds go back to the card it was charged on it's not a science either you guys put it through already or not. Allow me to join the chorus of people who are extremely dissatisfied with Orkin. You're essentially paying them several hundred dollars to set up mouse traps and plug up holes. But we figured a professional service would be more thorough than doing it ourselves. As it turned out, they couldn't even do that right. Our first inspector came in and failed to set traps in all of the necessary places, and also lied about setting them up in the crawlspace. He also didn't plug a single hole. Rat problem continued. I have been a customer for over twenty years and over the last two years the service has tanked. I do not have a problem with pests it's the branch I have an issue with. Rude techs and no consideration for my schedule. This was the last straw for me I am done and will be using someone else for my services. I wish I could give zero stars or five pile of poop.
This is another review that I wish I could leave less than a one star rating. I contacted Orkin to come out to my home because I was getting bees in my home. I scheduled March 4th at 10 am and received a confirmation from their company for the date and time. However, I look at my camera from work yesterday and one of their technicians is at my front door. The tech lied and said he came to our door when he was sitting out in his car ..lied to office so we had to make new appointments
