I have been trying to cancel my service since Feb. Manager is not calling me back. They came to service my house for April after I told them to cancel. I refused the service yet still have a bill for $92. Tech cam out when there was snow outside. Said he serviced the outside of my house. Never came inside. I have been a client of Orkin for 12 years. The last 2 years have been a nightmare, I can only assume because people with a lack of skills regarding customer service were assigned to my account. I canceled my account after several poor attempts by management to give me the service I was requesting without a lot of mistakes. They stopped giving me notifications of when the agent was coming to do the pest control. I had 2 occasions of mosquito abatement and they messed that up. This is a pyramid scheme. Been using them for 7 years and have not done anything except set traps and charge me $100 each time they came out I had them come out today to fill all the cracks and hole the mice can get in. Well 40 mins later and they charged me $1,200

Going to cancel my service with Orkin. I am not satisfied with the service. 2 occurrences where I tried to call and reschedule a "randomly generated" appointment that I get in a text. Call the office to reschedule and nobody ever picks up the phone. I leave messages stating I'd like to reschedule and the orkin service rep still shows up to the house to do a "perimeter check". The service reps were fine. That's the only reason this place got 2 stars

I have tried to cancel my Orkin account several times. Just two days ago, I called the 800 number to lodge a complaint about the continued contact and the constant scheduling of appointments that I have indicated I do not want. This was all prompted when I received a bill recently for service even after I requested that service be cancelled. Apparently an Orkin service technician came out and sprayed the outside of my home. This place deserves zero stars. They schedule appointments with you and don't put them in the system and then they go in the system randomly and make other appointments for you without your knowledge. So basically you need to be available when it's convenient for them. The technicians clearly hate their job and have no desire to do more than the bare minimum. I don't recommend this company. Based on my experience, my opinion is that they are unorganized at best and dishonest at worst. I decided to cancel my service appointment because I was afraid that doing business with this company would lead to headaches. Orkin-Alsip was a no show/no call for inspection pre-paid under annual service agreement. After multiple calls with no return of voice message, was finally told that the person who made the appointment failed to link it to the technician's calendar. Wasted a day and burned time off work. Waiting for someone to re-schedule and tell me how I will be compensated. Tech would not name manager when I asked, and customer service would only place me in contact with tech when I asked to speak to a manager.

Just an awful business. This location never picks up the phone, never respond to voicemails or emails. The company continues to disburse service men a for a service that's no-longer required. Their intentions appear to never actually solve your pest problem but rather to lock you into a perpetual maintenance arrangement. My next efforts will be to the better BBB then maybe an attorney. Avoid this office at all costs.
