I called to see what happened and they said the lady in charge never submitted the appointment, mind you they called me to verify the appointment. 3. I am disappointed with how scheduling a second appointment went. They had a tech come on a day it was raining. The 30 day agreement is a joke, I'll never use Orkin again!!
I made an appointment on Sunday for an inspection on Monday and selected an 8a-10a appointment window. 10 minutes before the window was up, I receive a call saying that the person that my inspection was given too doesn't work in the area and they pushed it off on someone who does and that person, Peter, was swamped today and couldn't come. I have been trying to cancel my service since Feb. Manager is not calling me back. They came to service my house for April after I told them to cancel. I refused the service yet still have a bill for $92. Tech cam out when there was snow outside. Said he serviced the outside of my house. Never came inside. I have been a client of Orkin for 12 years. The last 2 years have been a nightmare, I can only assume because people with a lack of skills regarding customer service were assigned to my account. I canceled my account after several poor attempts by management to give me the service I was requesting without a lot of mistakes. They stopped giving me notifications of when the agent was coming to do the pest control. I had 2 occasions of mosquito abatement and they messed that up. This is a pyramid scheme. Been using them for 7 years and have not done anything except set traps and charge me $100 each time they came out I had them come out today to fill all the cracks and hole the mice can get in. Well 40 mins later and they charged me $1,200
Going to cancel my service with Orkin. I am not satisfied with the service. 2 occurrences where I tried to call and reschedule a "randomly generated" appointment that I get in a text. Call the office to reschedule and nobody ever picks up the phone. I leave messages stating I'd like to reschedule and the orkin service rep still shows up to the house to do a "perimeter check". The service reps were fine. That's the only reason this place got 2 stars

I have tried to cancel my Orkin account several times. Just two days ago, I called the 800 number to lodge a complaint about the continued contact and the constant scheduling of appointments that I have indicated I do not want. This place deserves zero stars. They schedule appointments with you and don't put them in the system and then they go in the system randomly and make other appointments for you without your knowledge. So basically you need to be available when it's convenient for them. The technicians clearly hate their job and have no desire to do more than the bare minimum. You get no call backs from them when you leave a message you have to keep calling and the "branch manager" thinks things are going smoothly so won't even listen to feed... read more
