Wonderful service, delicious authentic food and nice wine list.
We are fortunate to have been able to book this gem last minute. We sat on the outdoor patio next to the street so we felt like we were on vacation. Our waiter, actually from Rome, was fantastic and always checking on us but never rushed us in any way. The Caesar salad was fantastic as was my sea bass dish over risotto with lobster and sauce, and my friends ravioli with pesto sauce. We have two chocolate desserts that were equally delicious. Nice ambiance, very personable staff and high quality Italian food.
We had dinner here during San Diego Restaurant Week. My wife ordered the sea bass from the special menu but I couldn't pass up the ravioli with lamb in a mushroom sauce. Both dinners were superb, but the highlight was the limoncello cake. Service was excellent, we had an outdoor table, great for people watching.
Good food with terrific service. The short ribs were tender and juicy and the spaghetti fradiavolo was enough for 4 diners!
Excellent cocktails. The food started out excellent with a shared first course of one of the risotto dishes. The rice was cooked perfectly. After that, the salads were only fair with the mixed greens limp and poorly dressed. The entrees were absolutely enormous and slathered with lobster bisque. I had the fish over risotto and a lobster bisque sauce. My husband had the crab gnocchi. Again, the gnocchi and seafood were over powered by the bisque. Everything tasted good but was gloppy. $42 and $36 respectively.
As I mentioned in my previous reviews I returned to my favorite restaurant in the Gaslamp District and I am glad I did. When I arrived Annalisa their GM greeted me, even though my last vist was last year. I had a nice table for one just inside the front window overlooking the passer-by's as usual. I was here for the $40 3-course restaurant week dinner special. I started with my usual margarita and wine pairing. The grilled octopus appetizer was hugh and tasted great. It was not rubbery. My short ribs were also tasty, but, to... read more

We had a fantastic waiter who made our visit really special. He never rushed us and was always attentive to our needs.
Really enjoyed this place. Attentive service. Food was spectacular, everyone in the party was more than satisfied. Will certainly return again
