We had a quiet dinner at Osteria Panevino during a recent trip to San Diego and we still can't stop talking about it. The authenticity of the service and the food was incredible. We highly recommend the Lobster Ravioli, and if you are lucky enough to have Giuseppe as your server - take his wine recommendation, he really knows his stuff. We will go every time we are in San Diego, without a doubt. We may even go to San Diego JUST to visit Panevino again!
We go here each year on our anniversary and are always taken care of above and beyond. Give them a chance to wow you and they will. Top restaurant in San Diego.
Excellent service. Very attentive waiters. Excellent ravioli's. While they had gluten free pasta, there was only one sauce option which was very tasty still, should expand this. Kids menu was great. Kids pizza was large, too big in fact for one person. We would come back here.
The service was great. The food was good but not great and the portions were huge. None of us ate the whole thing. I'm not surprised that it was in a touristy area. I've had much better Italian food elsewhere. Still good and fun though. Pleasant atmosphere.
I thought this would be a great place to try for my husband's birthday. We went with our two daughters. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time but couldn't be seated until 45 min later. The two hostesses were nice and pleasant chatting with us as we waited but it was a long wait. This is far and away one of the best Italian restaurants ever! The veal Osso Bucco was perfect as was the steak. There are so many restaurants to choose from in the Gaslamp Quarter...I would recommend this charming eatery first. The waiter was Italian and made the evening delightful! I will visit again on my next trip to San Diego!!
Fish was wonderful
The food was excellent! Our waiter was very good, but our group was over charged.
Great service, great food, and a good price for Gaslamp. We had the braised pork and lobster ravioli and both were outstanding. The sidewalk seating gave us a great vantage of the Saturday street scene, and our server was fantastic on s very busy night.
