Chef made me a special baked pasta not on the menu which was very considerate. Good appetizers and great wine list.
Visiting from the Midwest we wanted both seafood and pasta. Osteria Panevino provided us both. Have anything on the menu for a real old world treatment of fresh seafood supported by an impressive wine list. Attentive and fun servers help assure a memorable evening.
The food was amazing, the ambience was great and the service was phenomenal. We had a group of 8 which can be pretty stressful for some but our waiter handled it very well and helped us make decision for our meals which were awesome. I'll definitely be back and I cannot stop recommending this place to all of my friends and family
Food was overpriced. $15 for an omelette? Service was very good. Guys were helpful and friendly. I'd recommend it, but maybe try other food items.
We went to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday and the hostess and entire staff were amazing. Surpassed our expectations and would definitely recommend. Great service and great food at a reasonable price. A+.
We ate on the small but nice outdoor patio for dinner during San Diego Restaurant Week. Ate a three-course meal which was quite nice. My only issue was that we were not offered the Restaurant Week special menu ... we had to ask for it (i.e. we had to know it was available).
We had a delicious dinner, nice ambience with excellent service and will definitely return. The evening was wonderful until we got our bill to find that the happy hour hors d'oeuvres and wine we ordered before dinner were not happy hour items in spite of making that interest clear when we were seated. They did reduce the price on the appetizer but we were stuck with an extra $30 bar bill for the two glasses of wine our waiter helpfully suggested. As I said to start though, we will go back for sure, just wiser.
As you can see from my past reviews I have been here annually since 2011. This is one of my favorite restaurants for dinner. The quality of the food and consistency of their service are prime examples of why I continue to return here. I ordered my favorite veal ossobuco with risotto, which is always on their regular menu. It is becoming rare to find veal ossobuco on a regular menu as more restaurants try to cut costs by offering either lamb or pork ossobuco.
