Right on 5th in the Gaslamp district! This is our go to dinner location anytime we are in San Diego. Usually for a Dodger/Padre game. My wife always has the spinach Pesto raviolis and loves it! I always try something different. This time it was the crab leg and veal shank special. The special was $55 but well worth it. Great atmosphere with excellent food and service. Even though it is in the Gaslamp district with all of the tourist restaurants, this restaurant makes you feel like you could be anywhere including in Sicily.
I was visiting San Diego for the weekend, and was craving some Italian. After a little research online I decided on Osteria Panevino and was more than pleasantly surprised. The food was FANTASTIC, waitstaff was amazing, and the number on the bill was far less than I expected given such quality in such a hot location. Would definitely go back, and absolutely recommend!
This is my favorite restaurant to dine at. The service is excellent and they have always taken care of anything I needed. The food is on point every time. Very quaint, home-style Italian food. Love it!

There was seven of us in our party. Ages 12 to 52. There was something for everybody in the menu. Everyone loved all their choices. We will recommend Osteria Panevino to all our Friends and Family.
Everything was so great. There was so many things on the menu that sounded so delicious. I had a hard time deciding. I want to go back just to try more. We are not that into wine but if you are, the wine list is extensive and mostly Italian. The shrimp and calamari app, chicken parm and lemonchelo cake were excellent.
Really amazing food, great waitress, nice ambiance, Gaslamp charm and right in the middle of all of the downtown action. Just 1 block from the Horton Plaza parking garage too. I'm definitely coming back, whenever the occasion arises. It was slightly louder than i usually prefer but i was there for a late dinner on a Saturday night so it was expected.
Our server was excellent, attentive, and very efficient. The noise level was high, but typical for this special Italian osteria
