Been coming here for 20 years. Food has never disappointed, and the service was great. Will continue to come here and enjoy the atmosphere and food...:)
First time to dine here, entire experience was awesome.
The first time there and was pleasantly surprised. A small but wonderful find. Definately go back .
Wow! Eggplant ravioli was amazing. Highly recommend stopping by this restaurant for Tuscan style dining. Loved that it was a small restaurant nestled down in the Gaslamp. Will definitely be going back.
FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND SERVED IN A TIMELY MANNER.IF I LIVED IN SAN DIEGO I WOULD GO AGAIN AND AGAIN.MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS TRYING TO FIND PARKING SO NEED TO ACCOUNT FOR TIME LOOKING FOR THAT BUT ITS WORTH IT!
I would not recommend this place because of the service we received. The food was pretty good and the ambiance great, but our waiter did not have it together. He was taking food orders before we even got our drinks. We had to flag him down to get drinks.
I could have licked my plate clean; the ahi tuna over a bed of lobster mashed potatoes was amazing. The calamari also had a crisp, bold flavor. Wine selection was varied.
I liked the ambiance and the atmosphere in general. Table was very cramped, waither was nice but somewhat slow and inattentive and not very conversant. However, the food was the most concerning part, I had ravioli with spinach and ricotta in it. The ricotta was dry and tasted like it was old and gritty. Overall left a bad taste in my mouth. My friends had similar feedback on their food. Could have just been a bad night or bad luck but overall wansn't impressed for the high price tag.
We used a $25 off coupon. I think the menu is way over priced. I do realize though, that's what you are going to pay downtown. Rent space is very expensive. We would never go here and pay the full price. I had Crab stuffed ravioli, I think maybe 6, with a very small amount of sauce, and some bread and my meal was $27.95. Did not even include a salad. The Seating is crammed together.
