This is one of my favorite places to take my son! During these times, it's all about keeping safe with outdoor activities, and he has a great time here, every time. There's a really good variety of animals, from tigers all the way down to those adorable Fennec foxes. It's really easy to view them all, and I find that if you head over fairly early, it's usually not overcrowded and parking is no hassle. I've only been here once for the Zoo Lights event so I will update my review when I go back during daytime. The zoo seemed smaller than Zoo Miami but it was nicely maintained. They even have a cafe on site with a decent menu. The zoo light event was nicely done and well organized. Also you get to enter different parts of the zoo from the entrance which is an advantage as you are not stuck and forced to do the whole thing unlike a lot of zoos who are set up like a big circle. My second visit to this zoo..but first in many years. I went with a small group and i was a bit disappointed there were no strict mask requirements except in certain areas. It was very crowded and i needed to wait my turn to get near some of the animal areas as many were crowded without masks. The zoo itself was lovely. Im not a big fan if caged animals however, these were mainly rescues from what i could read. Most had spacious area to roam but it is a small intimate zoo. The landscape is very nice. Doing a good job struggling through the Covid regulations while trying to keep customers satisfied. Park was clean, easy to guide yourself. Can spend all day but you can see everything at a leisurely pace in about three hours. I imagine it's longer with children.
Great place for kids ! Not to large of a zoo and some of the animals were missing due to COVID
It was a lovely warm afternoon. Walking out side most people and children tried to social distance I wish more people tried to wear masks Animals are very interesting Surroundings are also lovely to look out
Great zoo with lots of character and charm. Would highly recommend adding this stop to your vacation plans.
