Classic tourist general store. Lots of candy, drinks, ice cream, t-shirts, etc. Cheap and fast breakfasts. Delicious cinnamon rolls and donuts. You're not coming here for friendly service. The guys checking you out would clearly rather be on the golf course than dealing with the customers/tourists. I'm from NY so am used to dealing with gruff employees but at least the NYers are charming. These guys are just annoyed by taking your money. No worries. I'll still go back.
So so overcrowded with unsupervised kids. Nobody was wearing a mask and nobody was social distancing. The place was basically a Petri dish of germs.
Awesome general store on Hilton Head Island! If you're staying close by this store has all you need. Chilly? Grab a sweatshirt. Hungry? They have hot breakfast sandwiches or grab some food from the deli case and pack your own picnic. Forgot any toiletries or have a headache? They have you covered as well. Highly overpriced and surly owners/employees. Would only recommend in desperate situation for those staying in Palmetto Dunes. Otherwise, there are many better options with more reasonably priced items and employees who at least pretend they're pleased to serve you.
A bustling gathering spot in the center of Palmetto Dunes to grab a coffee, breakfast sandwich, Island Packet and anything you forgot to buy at Walmart, then take a bench seat on the porch with other vacationers planning the day and watching the bicyclists and tennis players out front. This is also normally our last stop before departing the Island after another great memory filled trip to one of our favorite family vacation resorts.
We've been eating here for at least 15 years and really enjoy the food. Simple and tasty breakfast, our favorite is scrambled eggs and bacon on a biscuit for $3. Can't beat it. Their lunch is amazing - the fried chicken is really great and the potato wedges are outstanding. Ribs are great as well. Just two things to note...first, the owners/managers are unfriendly. Amazing little store that seems to have it all!! Breakfast, coffee & ice cream was an awesome treat. Highly recommend everyone stop in to the General Store!
Go here for lunch and head straight to the back left corner. There y'all find super tasty fried chicken, really good Mac and cheese, and if you're fortunate like we were, the bbq specials. The bbq pork sandwich was among the best ever tasted. Super yummy. The mashed potatoes were not at the same level the rest of the food but you were warned. Finish off your lunch with some soft serve. Be happy you found a place to feed your family without busting the bank and bellies full.
A must stop for ice cream, old school fountain drinks after a great bike ride down the paths of palmetto dunes!!!
