More frequent communication during process.
My confirmed signing agent bailed at the last moment forcing me to miss closing by month end. Although we rescheduled one business day later, it forced me to pay another month of interest. Other than that snafu to no fault of mine, the overall experience was good.
Overall a great experience! Being an active duty military member and living in a different country, PennyMac worked with me to complete my refinance process in a timely manner.

Easy, fast process.
The entire team at Pennymac, especially Paulette and Will, were extremely professional and helpful. They both made the entire refinancing process very straightforward and easy to understand.
We had a slight problem on the first document signing mostly my fault but some of Paulette the papers said my wife’s last name when the niters came my wife’s drivers license had her old married name the notary could not accept our last name even with the marriage certificate this threw everything thing in turmoil at first the loan was supposed to close be the middles Of the month and no payment was to be made for the Month of October. Long story short I got a call from Paulette on the 29 or 30
We had to proactively request updates on the status of documents submitted. When we asked for an update the representative didn't have the information available, she would need to look into it and get back to us, we then had to follow up a second time to see if she had an update from the first request.
