Ceista was really great, but she was the last of a seeming long-line of loan processors. I applied for this loan (as an existing Penny Mac customer and at Penny Mac's own urging) in July and it closed in December. Unacceptable. I've re-fi'd in the past on at least a dozen occasions and this was clearly the most tortuous. The only reason I didn't go somewhere else was because of abject stubbornness. Ceista did a great job once she took over, but my negative view was cemented by then.

As a first time refinance experience all my questions were promptly answered. All the people that I talked to had all the answers to my questions. It was a smooth process.

Michele Boyd was awesome. PennyMac was awesome. The title company gets a 0. They missed the first date to close. Never called to confirm or show up. Second appt was late and never called to confirm until I called 15 mins after scheduled time to find out why they weren’t there. Title company was terrible!!

It was delayed, I initiated the process in August, did not close until December. We can blame Covid!
