We have been with Pennymac for the past 3 years and refinanced with them for a lower intrest rate. We would recommend anyone looking to purchase or refinance a home to at least talk to Pennymac. We have never had any issues with them.

The loan process was fast and smooth. There were no issues throughout the process that weren't resolved quickly. If I had to change one thing about the process, it would be the title agent that was present during the signing of the document. She did not seem interested in answering questions.

I have been very impressed and happy with Pennymac. The agents are friendly listen acutely and patient. Having the experience of over 40 years of home ownership, I can say without any reservation that Pennymac goes the extra mile to make financing process simple and friendly. Then they continue the trend with that same core principles in after closing loan servicing.

Better communication. I would rarely get a response when asked through email. My questions were only answered when I iniated a phone call, and even then Ms. Freeby seemed unfamiliar with my case. This all culminated in my surprise when my closing costs were ~$4000 more than what was estimated - not an insignificant amount. Unpleasant experience.
