The only problem was that Indiana laws were not up to date per our title representative and the needed resources at closing. PennyMac only advised to have a personal check ready and any 18+ year old to witness. In indiana the rule is cashiers check needed if over $500 and the witness cannot be a direct relative that may be a beneficiary in an event. If the title rep had not told us on a preliminary call we would not have been prepared the day of closing. However, everything else was smooth.
In the end, we are happy with the loan we received from PennyMac. The application and closing process, however, took longer than expected, and our point of contact changed multiple times throughout the process leading to multiple miscommunications and mistakes. All issues were resolved in a timely, professional manner however.

Everyone at PennyMac exceeded my expectation. I was so stressed and felt like I was going into a nervous breakdown that Community CDD increased so much therefore my escrows were short of funds and my payment increased so much. Everything was great but ifeel like closing cost was ver high.
Kyle’s service was impeccable, but the other supporting cast drove the overall rating lower. I had to reach back out to Kyle to get contact with the closing agent because I hadn’t heard from her as late as one day before closing, and needed wire info. Other than that, the experience was smooth as silk!
