There were too many people involved, as I received emails from multiple people. They originally offered me a lower rate with no Cashout, but presented me with a higher rate with no communication until I told them I was no longer interested, at which time they reduced it from 3.5% to 2.9%, which is a big difference.

The only negative to the whole process was being notified the day before the signing/closing that I would have to come up with $876 at the signing! I never fully understood why.The Loan Disclosure Statement showed that I'd be getting $198 a few days after the signing...that had all changed. I kept getting told that it had to do with a deficit in my escrow account. I still don't know how that could be, because I was never late on any payment, and PennyMac had set the escrow payment amount.
It was quick and easy, and the PennyMac employees were friendly and knowledgeable.
From beginning to end I felt confident that my Mac team was doing a great job and always returned the calls and questions immediately!
Being a senior widow, I was a bit concerned about doing this loan process electronically. With all the help and guidance my loan processor gave helped me through it, and it was easier than expected. Thank you Nancy for walking me through this.
