The team at Penny Mac are efficient, informative, friendly and knowledgeable. I am very happy with how smooth it went.
Had problems contacting the Mac team threw emails. Closing took about are more then 3 months. Jordan Smith was great and very helpful. Ignacio barrientos I had troubles contacting and getting reply’s from. Had to call Jordan several times for him to contact Ignacio to get answers for me. Not sure if this was because of COVID-19 are not. But other then that everything was fine. Just wasn’t to happy with the extra 3 month wait to close on a refinance! Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Very difficult on a simple refi. Asked over and over to correct my loan and every time it came back wrong. Asked repeatably to speak with someone higher up that understood what each line item meant and still got the run around. Finally reached out to Doug Jones and that seemed to help a little. Everyone expected me to close on a load that was incorrect so that they could get their payout. Very sad that a big company like PennyMac treats their clients so bad...
TheCommunication was poor wasn’t sure what was going on for a couple of weeks and then after that everything I got was done in my email no notification that she will be emailing me to let me know I needed to do things it could’ve been handled a little bit better also my name was wrong on the documentations of closing and the emails from the loan officer had my name spelled wrong also
PennyMac's team was professional and courteous all the way from beginning to end. The process was seamless and timely. Excellent service!
My initial loan officer Nathan R. was great & was always available to answer emails & questions in a timely manner but the new loan officer was very hard to reach 95% of the time so I was left to figure certain things out on my own via google searching which In turn caused me stress & anxiety since everything is time sensitive & I was always fearful closing would get delayed because my questions weren’t being answered in a timely manner.
Took advantage of today’s lower mortgage interest rates with my current lender, PennyMac. As expected, they were very easy to work with. The process was easy to understand. And most importantly, I will saves thousands of dollars in interest as well as reducing my monthly mortgage loan payment. Win win, for sure.
Fast and friendly is the best way I can describe this process. I’ve already recommended friends refi with PennyMac.
