Processes may have been flawed due to COVID and the fact that most of the staff was working from home but the length of time it took to do a streamline refinance was unacceptable. The request to upload documents to the collection site was slow and took several days to reach the specialists. Overall experience was not good, however, I owned a PennyMac loan in the past and I was completely happy, so wanted to stay with the company.
I couldnt be more pleased with the entire refinancing process. Everything was explained and easy to Understand. I'll definitely recommend Pennymac to my friends and family.

Overall great experience from start to finish, I was kept informed every step of the way.
The closing process was a month longer than originally discussed. I would receive weekly updates stating "Your loan is currently with underwriting, nothing is needed from you at this time", however, about 3 times, i received urgent requests for documents/actions needed on my end at the last minute. I continued to supply the same documents spanning 3 months due to the delay in underwriting review. I dont know why i was never told of pending items from my appraisal until 3 weeks after the fact
