Refinancing my house thru PennyMac was a great experience. I was satisfied. I was informed ahead of time re documents to be submitted or anticipated emails or phone calls. I encountered no hidden surprises, therefore I would do business again with them.
1. Clearly the workload at your end is too much. I did not receive accurate or timely information. Emails were frequently left unanswered and phone calls were not returned. 2. Closing costs were to be rolled into the loan amount, which is how they were shown initially. However, partway through the process, documents provided showed amounts I needed to bring for closing. It took an inordinate amount of time to correct this error. Delays on your end pushed back my closing date and cost me money.
It was great because of the product offered including the rate and the ability to skip a payment. However the closing costs far exceeded what we were initially quoted and even the amount that we were told to bring to closing.
Great experience start to finish.
