My loan estimate was grossly incorrect. Closing costs were almost $3k higher than the estimate. And closing took almost 2 months.

About what I expected
Sandra was great but someone dropped the ball on wiring the funds and our loan didn’t close until hours after sale closing. It was really frustrating. We sat in our car for hours waiting to enter the home. Sandra admitted that someone failed to wire the funds.
I asked several times why a cash at closing was shown in preliminary loan documents. Finally got an answer from a supervisor when the rep was unable to provide an explanation. Also, during the application process I designated my choice for the closing attorney. Five days before the scheduled closing, my attorney had not been contacted by PennyMac and I was forced to use an unknown attorney for the closing and a specific (Amrock) title company-I suspect this increased my closing costs.
