While I feel being an existing PennyMac customer made the overall application process a bit easier, I got frustrated by the lack of responses to my emailed questions. I'd often have to call to follow-up to make sure the email was received (it was) and get the answer so we could move to the next step. I was pleased with the timeline start to finish.

Loved working with my Pennymac team. From the date I contacted them to match or beat my loan offer from another lender, it only took three weeks to close. Pennymac beat my other offer by $1300.. Love using their app too. It makes keeping up with your mortgage easy.

At the beginning of the application process I requested that everything be rolled into the loan, escrow from original loan and any debits. I was hoping for no cash due at closing, either owed to me or that I I needed to bring to closing. Apparently that wasn't possible. When it was time to close I was actually given three different amounts. On the phone call discussing the closing I was told that I owed $3.86, the closing document emailed to me said that I owed .10, but ended paying $6.00!
