I would first like to say that this is my first time refinancing my home. I was pleaseantly surprised at the ease of the process. Everything was over the phone or computer. The initial Q & A was a little lengthy. But after that It was just weekly updates over the phone until the signing and notarizing. The total time took a little longer with the pandemic and other things. But all things considered i believe this was a fairly painless process. I would ask all veterans to use this program.
Zachary was great and always calling to give me updates. Also helped helped resolve scheduling issues that arose with the document signing.
It was a clear and fairly easy process
We were told there would be no closing costs when we applied for this streamline loan. In scheduling our closing we were told we needed to bring over $600 and at the actual closing we wrote a check for $785. The communication for this process and what our expectations were was not clear. It didn't break the bank, but that wasn't the point. If you aren't sure if there are closing costs don't sell that during the application process, and don't communicate a number you aren't sure of.
Great job -- easy and painless process. I did get a a duplicate request to review and sign one batch of docs prior to closing, but all in all the process is great.
It should have been communicated early documentation was needed to verify wife's employment status. Not, Thursday afternoon when we scheduled the coming Monday to close, delaying the process. Also, I had several loans being refinance and duplicate information was being asked more than once. There was no communication between the different employees working on the loans and had to call multiply times to get thing straighten out.
