Not sure if the issue was due to COVID or not, previous experiences with PennyMac have been good. The loan process was started in late March and I was not able to close until early June. Considering this was a refinance within the same lender, this was really unacceptable. While I feel that Drew was genuinely interested in helping me, the communication was slow; again I do not fault him as this may have been directly related to the COVID shutdowns and remote working.
The process was relatively quick. Danny did a good job keeping us updated on the process and was pleasant and professional.
Our refinance went smoothly and closed ahead of schedule.
