In the end we closed in time because of the dedication of many people on the Penny Mac team; however, we wouldn’t have had the last minute fire drill if the issue about LTV and appraisal was caught weeks before. This was clearly the fault of the Penny Mac team and jeopardized our loan. Furthermore, I was mislead about where the loan was in the process by my loan officer. Several time he said it was approved when it wasnt. This added so much upheaval that wasn’t necessary. But in the end we close
PennyMac Loan Services was the best decision we made for our loan process. Staff were very professional and they made the whole experience pleasant from the beginning of the loan application to the very end. We would not hesitate recommending PennyMac Loan Services to anyone.
Prompt, friendly, informative, and FAST!!!!!!
Our processing agent was a great guy - very likeable. But several things went wrong during the loan process. Our refi was delayed because someone failed to process our application on time. Took a call to find out what was taking so long. Once the final closing statement got to us it didn't coincide with the papers we had to sign to close. We ended up paying $50 more per month due to a calculating error on the statement. The silver lining? A few $s more due us by check.
Kept me posted all along step by step
Loan officer was difficult to get a hold of throughout the process. Called office multiple times with no answer, and was hung up on. Closing documentation was incorrect, and received by the notary after the closing appointment was set, making for a late and very long closing meeting.
