We were contacted by another lender to lower our rate. It was a good deal so we decided to do it. A day later we receive a call from PennyMac, our current lender, asking if they could match the offer and keep us. I was like YES! Most companies sell you off to other mortgage companies. We were sold off three times before getting picked up by PennyMac. They’ve treated us well and asked to keep us. So we are happy to stay with them. Great communication and fair deals.
There was no communication and I had to call multiple times to figure out what was going on.
I disliked that I was told that I would not have to bring cash to the closing table, but when I received the closing packet and addressed that issue -was given a call back saying it was resolved and go forward with the closing. The day of closing the issue had not been resolved and the same wrong documents were at the closing and when I called the agent while sitting at the closing- there was a completely different story than from when I was told things were well and go forward.
Better communication. Whenever i had a question the loan officer was not available, and the person on the phone was unable to answer my questions. The information told to us initial was different than what happened at closing.

It was the best experience working with my loan officer Joshua cause he would always answer my email and calls every time I request any dots I had.
The process was very easy for a couple who work day jobs. We loved that things or questions could be discussed or addressed via email, and that forms could be submitted electronically. We never felt out of the loop.
