The entire process from start to finish seem to be layered in miss communication between the loan team members and the title company for closing. It seemed as if no one knew exactly what was required and no one seem to review notes on the account from previous representatives and everyone seem to be duplicating efforts which made the process even more confusing and frustrating.

Not only was I kept up to date with everything that was going on, even if it was just waiting to hear back, the team made sure that they made sure that everything was being communicated from me to the underwriters. The team was very quick to make sure that if I didn’t understand something to answer all my questions and even if they didn’t have an answer they got one in a very timely manner.

I felt overall it was a good experience but I think maybe some training should be done with working with military members. Service overall was great, the outcome was great but I was turned off twice just the way a couple of my questions/statements were addressed. Perhaps it was not intentional but I remember that. Meagan Thompson was helpful and explained expectations for us and Penny Mac clearly. I'd rate her "excellent". Prior to working with Meagan Thompson, however, there was a time lapse that required us to resubmit some paperwork. We were not told why there was a delay in processing our loan. We called and emailed. When we finally contacted our initial loan processer, he said he'd communicate back to us within the day or the following business day. That did not happen. This does not effect the loan. I am trying to find out why I have an $800. 00, plus dollar amount in box 5 on my Pennymac Form 1098. I can't finish my taxes until this form is revised.
