So, dropped my Jack Russell's off on Friday for a reserved VIP Suite with camera. They tell me they will email me camera info. Saturday morning still no email. Call them and they say they will resend. Not that they sent it on Friday because I got their application email just fine. Now it's Saturday afternoon and still no email. So I call again and was told they were having issues with their IT and would give me a discount and text me pics. Sunday, still no camera info but no time to call. Monday I pick up dogs and t... read more

Business response:

Hi Tim, I apologize that the the stay did not meet your expectations. Our system shows that the email was sent from our front desk, but it seems that it did not arrive as expected. This is very uncommon, and we are researching the issue to prevent future instances. We were glad to provide the one time courtesy discount, as we understand your concern for your pets, however there is not an additional charge attached to the kennels that have video monitoring, so we do not typically provide discounts. I completely understand &... read more

Why was I charged for a large dog when my dog was 4months? Why is it that you doctors push meds on my dog who isn't even old enough to take them? Why is it that I'm not the only one who has had more than an unpleasant experience with your customer service at the counter? Maybe they should be more educated on pricing and knowledge of dogs. I'm glad you took the time to answer nothing but I am more than happy to never return to your establishment just make sure I receive his med docs in my email. Thanks have a pleasant day.

Business response:

I am glad to hear you were satisfied with your pet's grooming visit. I see he came for grooming in June. The total cost for the grooming appointment included bathing, brush, dry, nails, teeth, ears, a sanitary trim to the face, feet and fanny, as well as a full body de-shed. In early July your pet was due for a flu vaccine, and as since this was your pet's first medical visit at our facility, examination by a Veterinarian was required in order to establish a relationship, evaluate the pet's health, and safely move forward ... read more

So I just received this letter in the mail pretty ironic and funny how I just told them to give me the paperwork and I would never be back yet they find it necessary to tell me that they are gonna discontinue any future services peri think it was pretty clear when I told them to take a hike it was pretty clear when I told them to take a hike in not such nice terms. Maybe if curious spent more time Helping customers and less time writing letters they would have that 5 minutes theDr would have had that 5 minutes to come out a... read more

Business response:

Hi David, I do apologize if we misunderstood what kind of appointment you needed. I see here that Gemma Rose's appointment was made for a DAPP vaccine booster and was scheduled with a technician. Appointments made for just vaccines are scheduled as such if the client does not communicate pressing health concerns at the time of scheduling, and has a current doctor exam on file. The type of appointment is communicated to the client at the time the appointment is made. Our team did offer to work you in the same day so that Gemm... read more

I am so disgusted with the lack of professionalism and service that I received from this vet clinic! When I dropped off my dog (boarding for 4 nights, groom on pick up day plus getting all of his yearly shots) and when I made the appointment, I specifically asked to include a 12 month prescription for heartworm preventative medication. I gave the intake person a copy of last years Vet receipt (from a different Vet) to show them what my dog received last year (rabies, distemper, heartworm check, rattlesnake booster, etc.). ... read more

Business response:

Hello Marilyn, I had hoped that emailing you directly would help clear up some of your concerns. I apologize for the frustration, and any miscommunication. I assure you, as stated in the email, Mojo received his canine flu, and rattlesnake vaccine on 5/6/2021. The rattlesnake and canine flu vaccines did not appear on the invoice, as the charges were not entered when you submitted payment at the reception desk. My team alerted me of the mistake and missing charges, and rather than ask you to make a trip in to pay the remain... read more

Thank you for the quick response but you completely missed what was upsetting. I understand the credit card policy. That wasn't the problem. The problem began when your employee accused me of "always being a problem" when I have not been. Your employee told me that she "doesn't care" because she "only works there 1 day a week." In the service industry, these are pretty concerning remarks by an employee. Needless to say, you have lost a customer, but given your remarks, I'm sure you don't mind.

Business response:

Hello Mahtab, I tried to reach you via phone call today to discuss your concerns, but was unable to speak with you directly. I understand that you are frustrated with Care Credit's card use policy. It is Care Credit, as well as hospital policy, that legal identification be presented with a Care Credit Card in order to verify that the user is in fact authorized. It is denoted in Care Credit terms and conditions. I see it recorded that this is not the first time this has been an issue, and I apologize if this was not made clea... read more

So disappointed with the boarding service. Brought my Olde English Bulldog in to stay for 4 days and originally chose a normal kennel and was told he would get out a few times a day to potty and clean his kennel and signed up for some additional play time. Staff walked him back to his kennel and my husband said our dog seemed happy and followed the staff with no problem. About 30 minutes later, we get a call that they are having to move him to the back and placed in a double kennel because he was acting timid and aggressive.... read more

Business response:

Hi Heather, we appreciate you voicing your concerns, and we were glad to be able to connect with you over the phone. Our Hospital takes great care to provide the safest, and most comfortable boarding environment for all of our patients regardless of breed, appearance, or species. We welcome all shapes and sizes, and do our very best to build a trusting relationship with each and every one. Unfortunately, despite our efforts some pets can still become anxious, and that anxiety can manifest in many different ways. As per our d... read more

When a veterinarian doesn't know the difference between a Siamese mixed cat and a domestic shorthair cat, you know that you are in trouble. Pet Medical Center & Spa didn't give me much hope. I was a hospital corpsman (medic) in the Navy, and we weren't trained to communicate in Code or numerology or give a knowing look to a visible camera that the spa has in the exam room. Does anybody know what a BUTT Scratcher is because the only language that I know how to speak is Formal English. Butt Scratcher must be in the dictionary ... read more

Frustrated with my experience today- made an appt a week ago for my cat to be groomed. They set the expectation that she would need to be examed before they could sedate her for grooming. I understood. I brought her in and they explained again. When I called to ask a question (15 mins after dropping her off) they told me she would not be able to be groomed today. They stated the doctor wasn't able to see her until after noon due to emergency surgeries. I understand that things happen but I made this appt a week ago for her t... read more

Business response:

Taylor, Pet Medical Center and Spa's position on sedation and anesthesia for our patients is not taken lightly. We require, as it is by California Law, to have a Doctor patient relationship prior to any medical treatment. We explained multiple times that your pet will need an exam and most likely bloodwork prior to any sort of sedation or anesthesia and that there was no guarantee that the exam and sedation would happen on the same day. We apologize if your expectations were different, but we did our best to explain this. It... read more

I have used PMC for the last 3 years for boarding. I found the the facility to be clean and staff very nice. For the last 2 years, I started using their medical center also. I became very disheartened with this facility for several reasons. I have two small dogs. I was informed that they both needed the flu shot. With that would require an exam (even though they have had prior exams), and then would require a booster shot, and again, another exam was required (3 weeks later). Total for 2 flu shots was $320.00. I was ... read more

Business response:

Thank you so much for your feedback, our team values all feedback! We understand that implementing our hospital requirements for the bivalent canine influenza vaccine for boarding, grooming and doggie daycare was not going to be an easy one for everyone to comply with and we apologize for the inconvenience. However, we wanted to get out in front of the canine flu as it made it's way toward Fresno. As a veterinary hospital, we felt that this was the best course of action to minimize risk to all of the patients in our care. ... read more
