Was told my tank had a stalactite hanging off the bottom and would not be filled till I got it replaced. I contracted with Petro to get the work done. Two weeks into waiting the tank went dry and Petro refused to fill. I had to buy a diesel fuel can at Home Depot and drop 15 gallons of fuel into the tank myself till the work got done 17 days into it. When the old tank came out the bottom had nothing hanging off it. No leak and dry as a bone. Total sham.
Thinking of signing up with Petro for fuel oil delivery? Think again and proceed with caution. Their contracts “protecting” you from high fuel prices in fact guarantee you WILL pay high prices. Commit to a price cap and you’ll soon find, as I did, that you are paying 60 cents, 90 cents even over $1.50 a gallon more than the average market price for oil. Technician quickly appraised the problem. He installed a temporary patch so as to prevent potential leakage of water into the burner motor, and then advised me of my next course of action, as the permanent repair needed is not covered by my service contract.
The most unfriendly service tech in all my years of being a customer. Did not even say hello or introduce himself when walked in. It is clear he hates his job. After he finishes he comes up and says you should have a sign on your sink; it’s not hooked up. I’m sorry I didn’t realize I had to please your tech; my house is under construction. After being a longtime customer 40 yrs +, I called for service last night. I never call so I was very unhappy that a call made at 6pm was scheduled for service between 8:30 and 11:30pm. We had no heat or hot water! He came at 11:15 pm, unacceptable sorry Petro, but for a big company and longtime customers, this is unacceptable.
Out of oil for the second time in 2 years! Even with automatic delivery. Completely UNRELIABLE!
No Fix Leaks Refund my $$$$ I will get another heater elsewhere
I called on Thursday eve to say I am very low on oil., almost on empty. They assured me I would receive a fill up on Friday, nobody showed up. I called Friday again, and they told me they could get here until Monday. I called again on Monday to confirm, and they said they can not come until Wednesday. After a lot of yelling and screaming, I finally hit them to deliver 10 gallons to hold me until Wednesday, hopefully they will show up this time.
You saved one senior citizen and one disabled child from only God knows what damage would have happened to them in the extreme heat of that day's call for immediate
