About this business

Pies ’n Thighs opened in 2006, in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge. We took over a beer storage closet in the and transformed it into a tiny kitchen with six stools, serving huge donuts, two-napkin smoked pork sandwiches and salty, crispy fried chicken. The New York Times called the pies and the thighs a compelling combination, well executed and put forth with real heart—the sort of restaurant that’s hard to find, especially in the big city, but easy to love once found.

Years ago I had the best chicken honey biscuit in my life at this place. So good that I'm still writing about it today. Good foods!

Pies n Thighs has some of the best southern food I've had in New York. Their fried chicken alone is worth the trip to Williamsburg; in fact, I think they're better than Sylvia's or Red Rooster. Their sides of burnt end baked beans and mac and cheese were incredibly creamy and decadent. It's a very relaxed, cozy restaurant with great service.

This used to be my favorite restaurant when I didn't diet! I haven't been going back literally because everytime I used to come here I would eat my heart out. Now after 3-4 years of not going, I decided to go back to my roots with my now southern partner and eat my favorite chicken biscuit in all of the world! Immediately my eyes were wide awake when I saw my favorite chicken biscuit! Dripping with tons of honey butter on the bottom of the plate and seeing the steam come out made me speechless. I would recommend eating this... read more

Carrrrrllaaaaa!!!! This place has everything I love. Pies, thighs, painkillers..... I mean.... Phew. I flew in for an audition and luckily this was right up the street. Knocking two birds with one stone, I enjoyed my dishes and left happy and tipsy. I can't remember everything I ordered but man I was stoked. Love this place, love Ms. Hall, I hope you love it too.

So all I got was the banana cream pie BUT it was amazing. Ever since I got a banana cream pie from Martha's to take to Christmas I've been a bit obsessed and thought I'd try it at other places and see how it compares. I truly didn't think any place could live up to Martha's but I was delighted to be wrong. They're completely different but the banana cream pie here has a very very buttery biscuitesque crust with a dense banana custard and a rich whipped cream topped with a classic vanilla wafer. It's definitely rich and decad... read more

While visiting Brooklyn, we made sure to add Pies N Thighs to our list. We went at the opening of business and had 1st choice seating in the small but quaint restaurant. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Though the food came out beautifully, the fish and chicken could've used more spices. The cinnamon roll was nice and fluffy and not overly sweet.
