About this business

Pies ’n Thighs opened in 2006, in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge. We took over a beer storage closet in the and transformed it into a tiny kitchen with six stools, serving huge donuts, two-napkin smoked pork sandwiches and salty, crispy fried chicken. The New York Times called the pies and the thighs a compelling combination, well executed and put forth with real heart—the sort of restaurant that’s hard to find, especially in the big city, but easy to love once found.

Sometimes you get a craving for true Southern comfort food and this hit the mark! We went all in for our girls brunch and walked out really satisfied. Here's what we got aside from our Bloody Maries: -Chicken Biscuit: the hot sauce was a nice touch and was nice and crispy -Burnt End Baked Beans: my favorite item we ate by far!!! Must-have side!!! -Mac and Cheese: my go-to comfort food -Coleslaw: didn't eat this as a preference but my friend enjoyed -Bacon: pretty good!! -Mashed Potatoes: yummy, would've preferred with the... read more

We were watching DDD and Pies & Thighs was being shown for the third time. After Saturday morning shift, in Farmingdale. We drove into Brooklyn to try this place out. Now, this is fried chicken. CRISPY, CRISPY, & CRISPY. M had the catfish. Once again, perfect. For a side, I strongly recommend the baked beans and burnt ends. Family style dining and amazingly friendly.

Its meh. We lived right across the street and would come whenever we were craving it. The chicken biscuit was pretty solid, as well as the fried pickles. The seating is okay, usually better when its late night. The staff isnt very friendly, and we once waited over two hours for a Doordash/Uber pickup order. Arrived at the store and waited over an hour and a half, and the staff was not very friendly about it. Regardless, the foods okay, not too expensive. Good for late night, if in the area.

We have always heard about this place and finally made it to Brooklyn to try it. It does not disappoint. We got the fried pickles for starters. My husband is used to a flour based batter rather than a corn batter but it was a delightfully lighter fried pickle (I may have eaten most of it). I had the chicken biscuit which is a fried cutlet with honey butter and hot sauce. They definitely know how to fry chicken and can you resist the balance of sweet and heat. The hot sauce is not extremely hot think of Red Hot brand level of... read more

We made a reservation but were in the area sooner and therefore went ahead to see if we could have a table, or wait until the time (no problem at all bc looks like a good area to walk around for a bit). The host was super nice and said she was going to check - came back and had a small table in the back for us. The place is really small, two areas connected by a tiny hall but is still cozy to walk and sit. The food was truly superb. I had the chicken sandwich and it was the best I have ever had - the cutlet portion was good... read more
