About this business
Pies ’n Thighs opened in 2006, in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge. We took over a beer storage closet in the and transformed it into a tiny kitchen with six stools, serving huge donuts, two-napkin smoked pork sandwiches and salty, crispy fried chicken. The New York Times called the pies and the thighs a compelling combination, well executed and put forth with real heart—the sort of restaurant that’s hard to find, especially in the big city, but easy to love once found.

So kind and helpful and patient with my indecisive self. It was also nice to be able to eat and catch up without feeling rushed. Great balance in service. The thighs are a MUST order. We had a wonderful meal at Pies and Thighs this evening. We had attended a show and arrived an hour early for our reservation. They had one table available and seated us quickly. Our server was Dre and he was so great. Attentive and helpful and really fun. Food and drinks arrived quickly and were delish!! I think I just found my favorite fried chicken place in the neighborhood! Its perfectly crispy on the outside and not too oily. Highly recommend getting their mashed potatoes as well.

Solid take on classic soul food. I would say elevated. Some people are no fan of hipster takes on things but I have yet to have a bad experience with what they come up with. You have the staples of soul in the city but this spot does some of the classics better than those(sorry). The vibes might not be the same but this is Brooklyn we're talking about you know what to expect and there's nothing wrong with that.
