When my pet started to feel sick, Dr. Rudeen took care of her, unfortunately she never got better and Dr. Rudeen had to put her to sleep. I am very disappointed that she never sent me a sympathy card for my loss, nothing! "Actions speak louder than words. And sometimes inaction speaks louder than both of them."

This Vet is TERRIBLE! I was a customer of Plaza Del Amo's for a few years, and most of my experiences with their staff, were unpleasant... None of them make you feel like they care about animals, they're not transparent on pricing/flip-flop on pricing, staff will give you attitude/are curt, etc. I had more impolite exchanges with their staff, than not... Customer service seems bad. I feel like talking to AI. She has no feeling for sick pets at all. How cold she is. I felt it when making an appointment. An unpleasant old lady shows no interest of any sick pet. I feel like she works at comfortable office which does not handle any medical issues. I don't understand why plaza del amo keeps her unacceptable attitude. She's been always like that as I remembered. Even if doctors treat pets good, a customer service could mess up.

Awful for pet euthanasia. They want to take your pet away from you so they can restrain your pet in order to insert the IV, and then return your pet to you so you have no idea what transpired. When I said I didn't want to be away from my dog as he would be scared (and he is DYING for the love of God), it turned into a big deal and it was so poorly handled. I wish I had taken my little guy away and made a plan elsewhere. Awful.

Really saddened that I have to write this review. My older dog had surgery here last summer to have some tumors removed. Everything went smoothly and I was pretty satisfied with my overall experience. Lately, I have had some concerns about my dogs quality of life especially now that she's older. I have tried to seek advice from the doctor who's familiar with her history. It's been weeks and I have not received a call back from ANY of the doctors on site. Used to be a reliable Veterinariary place but recently it appeared that during the start of pandemic they became Veterinarian Money Hungry Vultures. As a long time loyal customer here/multi pup owner , we took our Sr dog here for a slight goopy eye issue- Sat in parking lot waiting as we were not allowed inside due to Covid protocols. I use to love Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital but, not anymore. I took my beloved Emma there for teeth cleaning and she was to have only one tooth pulled. Well after taking her blood to test as you are to do before any surgery procedure, they failed to contact me to make me aware Emma had an evaluated liver level. I should have been called to see if I wanted them to move forward with putting her under anesthesia because the liver processes the anesthesia and could have made her levels jump. This review is long overdue. The way that this place operates is terrible. We had to go in because our dog started having diarrhea and vomiting up her food. They said that it was because we kept on changing her food and that she has a sensitive stomach. So they gave us a probiotic. A week goes by and our dog is still not better, we go in again and give them her poop to sample for any parasites. They did not test her poop and still said it was because of her sensitive stomach. TLDR: Dishonest and deceptive tactics. The Good: - None The Bad: - Wouldn't it be important to tell the customer before you charge them? I took my dog in for some shots that were due because of a call I received from them. I specifically asked the staff to let me know the chargers BEFORE they proceed with anything.
