If you treat your dog or cat as part of your family, DO NOT BOARD HERE!!! We have been long time customers and are sad to be writing this review, but feel the need to warn others about this facility. In the past we never had an issue, but noticed a big difference in the staff at the front desk and how disorganized and unfriendly they seem to be. I could not comment to your response of my previous review... Hello customer service. I have no missed calls or messages from you. And to add perspective, I sent the same review to the hospital directly and then to google and have since received no response. Now that we posted it on yelp and there is a response. This is so disheartening writing this review, but I feel like everyone should know the good and the not so great. We have a dog that would get care here and we had made an appointment for March and they called us about 2 days before that the doctors wasn't going to be available and that we needed to reschedule. My husband and I work and had a busy schedule so we decided to wait a bit until our schedules cleared up to take him. Took my pup in for 2nd round of vaccinations. He had been scratching inside his ear a few days prior to the appointment so on appointment day I mentioned to the girl who came out to my car to pick up the dog, that I wanted the Dr to check his ears for a possible infection. During this visit my puppy was given his vaccines and his ears were cleaned and checked for an infection. Dr.Fay calls me while I waited in the car and says no infection found. I've waited awhile to post this review. After much thought, I've decided to write about why I am leaving Del Amo Animal Hospital and I am sad. I had been there through 3 pets and over decades. I was happy to have one doctor there diagnose my pet with a thyroid problem after years of sickness. I was thankful for that doctor at the time. Thanks for admitting that on my appointment on 8/2020 you guys forgot to keep up with the vaccination! It is now 8/2021 so for ONE ENTIRE YEAR YOU DID NOT NOTICE THE CATS WERE NOT VACCINATED? If I could give ZERO STARS I would. I left my dog in the boarding facility for a week and she came back looking like a homeless dog. DO NOT TRUST THIS FACILITY FOR ANYTHING. I would hate to know how they would treat my dog if my dog actually needed medical attention.

The same thing happened to me a few months ago. I brought dogs in for grooming, not an easy job, and when I got there was told my appointment was rescheduled for the following week. With so many mobile groomers and other groomers offering exceptional customer service, we don't need to settle for less than perfect!
