Deserves ZERO stars... tried to make a grooming appointment, waited on hold for 10 minutes while "she checked the schedule" only to have the phone picked up and say,"fluffy and some other pet are here to see Dr. Child" then HUNG up on me when I said I was put on hold trying to schedule an appointment. So I call back because yes! I get it, I work in an animal hospital too (no we don't have a groomer) and it is CRAZY busy right now everywhere ERs and other animal hospitals. I try to only write reviews about excellent service. In this case I felt treated very badly so I decided to warn other potential customers. Had the worst interaction with Plaza Del Amo over the last 2 days. At first it was OK. I needed a prescription refill for my cat (Flea medicine). They emailed the prescription to me - great. I ordered the flea meds online. The online store said I needed to send the print version of the script. I asked if there was another way. don't EVER work in the back as akennel tech. The two girls, i worked with in january 2020 are VERY clique-ish and constantly left me out of everything. i was always alone. they made me do all of the boring things like dishes and moping because i was new. Francesca, is very big on no work gossip - and i find it so ironic that Arthur and the rest of the girls in the back were the BIGGEST trash talkers i've ever met at a job environment. The staff is forgetful and not organized. I made an appointment for grooming and a couple shots and my dog never got the shots because they forgot. I've been on their paw plan for almost 4 years and this is concerning. Plus, there are too frequent staff turn overs.

Don't go here if you are seeking SAFE veterinary help. They wanted to vaccinate my dog when he was not well. After waiting TWO WEEKS for my scheduled appointment, I arrive on time to find out that they would not see me without a "booster vaccine". If you are a well educated dog/ cat Mom, you know that booster vaccines and annual vaccines are not necessary and can actually cause more harm then good, especially if something is compromising their immune system already. My sister recommended I use this vet hospital for my dog. At first, I was very happy with the service I received. Then there was a huge mixup on the prescription food my dog needed to have ordered ordered. The vet hospital originally gave me the wrong food, then offered to refund me for the error, then offered to order the correct prescription food for me. I never posted a complaint anywhere before but just had to for the terrible experience at this place. My dog has been there before less than a year ago for an ear infection. Now he has another one so I called at around 11am to see if I could get a refill on the medication. They said sure since he was seen there less than a year ago and that they would call me when the medication was ready for pick up. Hello my name is Mario Sanchez and I may get ban from yelp but I need to let you know what happens to me with my doggy Buddy. Initially, I was happy with the services of Plaza Del Amo but recently felt that they care more about money rather than the well being of my dog. I was swayed by the positive reviews to keep giving this place a chance but it was the last straw once paying $200+ for an appointment that left my dog in a worse condition than before.
