Great cleaner After much research and reading reviews on pool cleaners, I decided to purchase the Polaris. I have only had it for a couple of months but, so far, I am very happy with my purchase which replaces a very old Rayvac. The directions are clear and when followed step by step, setup and assembly were easy. The Polaris went right to work picking up everything in site on the bottom of the pool. Unbelievable Certainly not a handy person here and the assembly required part intimidated me - until it arrived. Within 30 minutes (of which 25 were wisely spent reading oversimplified instructions) the pool cleaner is doing its job. It is a great product and I was leery because of the low price. Kits sold elsewhere by others to rebuild this pool cleaner are almost the same as this vendor's new one! Great replacement and much better quality than the old ray-vac I had. Great Jandy Ray Vac Replacement I had a 15 year old Jandy Ray Vac that was basically dead. I searched google for replacement models and discovered that Jandy no longer makes the Ray Vac. A google search led me to some forums that mentioned the Polaris 360 would be a direct replacement for the Ray Vac. I didn't know how it would work because my return line was originally set up for the Ray Vac to use. My local pool supply store was selling the Polaris 360 for $700 dollars. Great little machine There are other more expensive pool cleaners out there, but this thing works just as great. It cleans my entire pool (15k gallons) in just a few hours. Easy to clean the bag as well.
Great Vac at a Great Price This is my second Polaris Vac that works off the return side. It was purchased to replace an ailing Jandy Ray-Vac. What an improvement! In two bags it cleared up the remaining junk from the winter cleanup. It easily covers the entire pool in a cycle and keeps the place clean. Installation was snap. Its the best but..... Background I am on my second Polaris 360 and have owned/used one for about 10 years. Originally my pool was outfitted with a Jandy Ray Vac. It worked for small stuff and was rugged and dependable however It would clog often and had to be cleaned almost daily. So I bought my first Polaris 360 about 10 years ago. I loved the way it cleaned the pool. I almost never had to vacuum anymore, or sweep it often either. The first year was trouble free. Polaris 360 Pool Sweep It seems to be working very good. My only concern is that it has a bigger hose entry. This means I can't use my prior sweep hose. It is smaller and works real well. This one seems to do the job, although it is noisier.
