Polaris needs QC Case broke in half after 5 months of use.
Broke in four months I bought this in mid October and it's worked well until 1 March so I only got about four months use out of it. I don't know how much trouble it is to send it back to Polaris. I reluctantly bought another one today. The one prior to this lasted a couple years. May as well buy knock offs.

Always use oem parts The original back-up valve lasted for many years. I replaced it with a copycat valve about a year ago. That valve did not work well from the outset and finally the casing split. I fitted the Polaris oem version today and the pool cleaner is like a two year old! You can buy cheap, but it costs you more in the long run.Oh dear. Not OEM This is not a Polaris OEM part. It’s clearly advertised as such therefore very misleading. Amazon needs to do more to police this.

Failed after 10 months. Split at the cap and spraying water. This is supposed to be a "genuine" Polaris part. A China knockoff I purchased previously lasted longer.
