Fits perfectly and works fine. I would buy this again Ran down to the pool store one Saturday to buy this as a replacement for ours that had kicked the bucket. I was SHOCKED to see it priced at $95.99!! Decided to check Amazon and found the exact same thing for almost half the price. Came right away, fits perfectly and works fine. I would buy this again.. although I hope I don't have to for a long time.
My Back Up Valve Works Again!! Bought this as part of a maintenance rebuild for my Zodiac - the old one no longer reversed and was basically 'welded' shut (couldn't open). Went ahead and bought this instead of the rebuild kit - boy am I glad I did! Was very easy to drop this sucker in, with my new hose, and have had zero problems since. Reverses to pull my Zodiac out of any spot it might get hung up in (pool ladder). No complaints, happy with this purchase. My only complaint is that the original part lasted only 1 year before developing a circumferential crack. After reading several online reviews, I see that this is typical.

didn't last long the backup valve is a great tool for the Polaris pool cleaner, however the one I purchased in June 2015 has disintegrated on the top half in less than 2 years. The solid top half has split about 90% around causing it to separate from the lower half. This one was a replacement for the original backup valve that came with the Polaris unit. It split in the same place but that was after 10+ years of operation. Disappointed in the working life of this product.

Erratic Polaris? You probably have a worn out valve! Great replacement for OEM valve and much cheaper than at brand name pool stores. I love my Polaris 280 pool cleaner but after 7+ years of almost daily use, my Polaris didn't seem to be running properly anymore, often getting stuck and moving erratically. I went to my local pool store and the clerks were of little help, suggesting I replace the filters and check the internal gear mechanism. No one ever mentioned the valve.
