Just installed. Its overheating in 2 minutes and shutting off. Hi, this seems like a great product but it is not working for me. I’ve tried both the 230v wiring setup and the 110v wiring setup (obviously changing the supply voltage when I do). The pump works like normal for 2 minutes and then shuts off (most likely due to thermal protection). After 10 minutes it will kick back on and run for another 2 minutes. Do not buy A part of this pump was broken when we got it and the seller wouldn't send the part. They wanted me to send back the pump on my dime. Immediately, it began making a very loud noise and continues to do so. So loud my neighbors hear it.
No warranty or support if you install it yourself. The media could not be loaded. I like the booster pump. I intentionally bought the older model because I heard there were problems with the newer model. That being said, my pump leaks a small amount at the drain plug. I called the manufacturer and they said hi to the seller. I found out that since I installed the booster pump myself, I have NO WARRANTY. I’m sure if I read the fine print I would have known that. Need to expect more life. When you purchase something like this I think most people would expect at least 5 years of use. A week this pump shut down. Had to a restart, and this morning at 3:30 am it was making enough noise it a woke me up. I went out and it sounded like the bearing were shot so I disconnected.
