Don't Buy This Pump! Seal started leaking within 3 months. The extended warranty company Asurion won't cover it because the pump is too new. Polaris won't cover it under manufacturer's warranty because they didn't install it themselves. Don't buy this pump!
Warranty is worthless Product worked great for 8 mos and then the impeller failed. Seller will not warranty unit nor provide replacement parts since it was installed by a general contractor rather than a pool-service professional.
lasted only 2 months Lasted for two months and then Pump backplate cracked and streamed water. Backplate made of a cheap plastic/Fiberglas and fails under pressure.
Polaris Brand PB4-60 Pump LEAKING on the FIRST DAY. I wanted a Quality Product so I did NOT Buy it from a Different Third Party Company. I choose the ORIGINAL POLARIS Company to buy it from. On 25 JULY 2025 I Purchased aNew Polaris PB4-60 Booster Pump and RIGHT AWAY it was Leaking Bad between the Volute and the Pump Motor on the very FIRST DAY. Major leak right after warranty expiration. Would not recommend any Polaris pump. I had it installed brand new in 2022, runs seasonally from May to September. It sprung a leak one year after warranty - had to pay a premium for replacement. Go with Pentair or another brand.
Poorly made, no warranty coverage The media could not be loaded. Poorly made. Purchased just 4 months ago and it is spewing water from around the motor shaft. Warranty won’t cover it since it was not installed by a certified installer (installation involves connecting the electric wire and screwing two plumbing fittings together). Amazon says contact the seller. Seller says contact Amazon, neither will honor a return. Manufacturer says they won’t cover it under the 12 month warranty. Don’t spend $460!

Did not last I would give this less than a star if I could! We purchased this March 2024 it only last less than a year. I am a very busy person so let it sit for about two months and then tried to call for warranty. It literally was out of warranty. You only get one year. My last one literally lasted ten years so I don’t know what’s going on but don’t spend your money on this go to a pool supply school.
