Broken after one year. Do not buy electrical from Amazon. Worked great one season. Easy to install but this year it completely broke. Loud noises and is seizing up. Of course no recourse since bought a year ago. Don’t buy electrical to save $. Not worth it.

Poor Quality - Polaris Won’t Stand Behind The last 2 motors have failed in short order. The first failed after 3 seasons: June-September running 1 time per week for 4-6 hours. The second motor failed after 1.5 seasons, same as above schedule. The first failure i just wrote off as bad luck. The second failure indicates a quality problem. Thus I called Polaris and was nicely told “no warranty” if they didn’t install it. They advertise the easy insulation and that is true. Not rocket science for a normal handy person. So shame ... read more

No Warrenty I never write bad reviews. There’s always a first time for everything. I had a Polaris booster pump on my pool for 30+ years. Finally gave up the ghost in August 2020. So I bought a new one. Considering I’ve done all my own work on pool equipment and never had any problems, it was a no brainer to install the new one. I FORGOT TO READ THE FINE PRINT. The warranty is void on self installs. The Capacitor is shot after only one year of use. I tried to cut them a break and only asked them to send me a new part, not th... read more

Received a defective unit. After installing cost of repair far exceeded unit’s price. One bolt for pump head was not installed. Didn’t know if that was normal. Installed the pump and it worked fine for a few days, then it started spraying water at the missing bolt. Although I purchased a replacement bolt, the plastic had been deformed by the pressure and the pump still leaks at a fast drip. I have to leave town for a few weeks. Hope it doesn’t get worse while I’m gone.

Quit after 1 year 1 year and 2 weeks after install it quit. not sure what the warranty is but even if covered, big hassle for what has been a reliable brand for over 20 years. Currrent cost is about 30% higher than mid march 2021.

Only Lasted a Year before needing repair / replacement Noise Level gets zero stars. The pump started to fail just past the first year in service and is in need or repair or replacement
