Great priduct Had a Letro for many years. In fact bought a replacement Letro about 8 years ago. But that company was bought out by Pentair who proceeded to take it off the market! It was much easier to maintain than the previous Arni Pool Sweep cleaner we had. Decided to try this one as it is not under the Pentair group!! It works fine and plugged right into my wall fitting. I like it even more than the Letro. Hope it is as easy to maintain and get parts when needed.
Sooooo much better than my stupid robotic cleaner Bought this along with a new booster pump to replace a POS robotic cleaner (Polaris 9300 sport). I couldn't control algae in the pool with the robot cleaner, and taking it in and out and in and out and in and out of the pool was a pain. Not this one. Works great every time, simple to set up, cheaper, and the booster pump was pretty easy to self install, too. Recommend this to anyone with a large in-ground pool.
Very effective Our last cleaner was so old that the difference in cleaning and effeciency is night and day. Our pool maintenance man approved wholeheartedly, saying this is a good machine.
My secound one, works pretty good, but lots of plastic parts wear out all the time. Works good, but lots of plastic part that wear out all the time. I think they could use better material.
Iffy I'm not sure I can for sure blame this product specifically, but for some reason this one hangs up on the steps, where our previous model did not. Our pool professionals installed it, and are stumped at the issue. I wish our other model had not given out.
You won't regret buying this cleaner I had a really old pool cleaner that came with the house I purchased. I stubbornly continued to repair it and the hose and was basically lighting money on fire. I finally gave in a bought the F5 and it is awesome. it cleans my pool extremely well and I really wish I would have made this purchase years ago.
Excellent cleaner! I ordered, received and installed the Polaris 280 over 6 months ago. Prior to writing this review, I wanted some time to see how well the cleaner worked over time and given various conditions. SET UP: The cleaner arrived with good instructions for installation. For DIY's the challenging part of installation is sizing the cleaner hose to the proper length. Too long or short and the cleaner will not operate properly. Reliable cleaner Have had the unit for about a year and it cleans the pool floor effortlessly, though it has trouble cleaning the step of the pool. Easy to maintain and take apart.
Factory problem The sweeper works good now but when we got it we had to take it in because when the factory put it together the put the tubing in backwards so it did not work.
