works well This was the model my pool guy recommended. Amazon had a good price and Prime eligible! It works wells and has been reliable for about a year so far. I would recommend it.
Replaced Hayward Phantom When our pool was put in, they installed a Hayward Phantom (with booster pump). I really liked the Phantom - it looked great, and (originally) was able to clean both the bottom and sides of the pool, and also run on the surface and skim floating debris as well. Excellent Polaris I was looking for a replacement for my 8 year old Polaris. This 280 model is even better than my original 380 Polaris Vac. So far it has been trouble free. 18 months old at this time...
powerful polaris We replaced a newer model Polaris with this one. It works so much better than the newer one ever did. I got this one after much research and many conversations with pool pros. The hose already did break in one spot though (after 2 months), so I can't give it 5 stars. The machine itself does a great job cleaining our pool
Final Got One Final got a Polaris for my in-ground pool. I am very happy with the product and its job. It took me 3yrs. to save either money to finally get it. The only bad thing about it is, of course, you have to clear out the catch bag, and that's no big deal. I would recommend this product to pool owner.
Works beautifully I could not have asked for better. Bought this Polaris to replace an older model. Took it out of the box, plugged it into the filter outlet, and it started working immediately. No adjustments needed to be made at all. Has worked beautifully since I purchased it mid-summer. Highly recommend!
Polaris 280 We have used this make and model for years and it does a great job. I know of friends that have other makes and models of pool sweeps and they don't work nearly as well as the Polaris 280. We were very [leased to get one at a great price on Amazon prime.
Excellent Years ago we had the equivalent of the 280 and it did an excellent job cleaning pool We moved and put in new pool and used a 380, but it never seemed to do as well as our previous experience with Polaris. When we had to replace the 380, the reviews were poor and the price outlandish, so we dropped back to the 280--it does a better job than the 380 and the price is substantially lower. Recent upgrades such as the drive system, throat size and bag have all been worthwhile.
