I called Polaris directly before purchasing and I was assured by multiple tech staff it would clean the Baja pool shelf automatically. After purchasing it. It absolutely doesn't clean the Baja pool shelf like tech support said it would. False claims were made to me. Finally a Polaris rep reached out to me and she said they'd re-train their tech staff because they shouldn't have made the claim. I waited 2 months. I called and pretended to be new and asked if it would clean the Baja pool shelf automatically. They are still m... read more

The 1st one I purchased wouldn't climb the walls at all. Parts were supposed to be replaced but were never. shipped to the store so the store returned it and gave me a new one. The second one only climbs the walls on deep clean and fails to climb every so often. Additionally after paying so much money for this, to have to buy a new filter to pick up silt is insane as well. I am sure the climbing can be fixed in a firmware update so I implore you to do so.

Business response:

Hi Eric, We're sorry to hear about your experience with this cleaner! Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us. A technical representative will be in touch to assist. In the meantime, here are a couple suggestions you can check to see if this helps with the wall climbing: 1. The filter canister is full or dirty. Clean the filter canister, see "Cleaning the Filter Canister" in manual. 2. Sides of pool are slippery or slimy. Although the water seems clear, microscopic algae, invisible to the human eye, are p... read more

The machine have broken after only one month of use. Clearing algorithm can be improved as machine always missing part of the pool.

Business response:

Hi Alexander, We're sorry to hear about your experience with this cleaner. We take customer satisfaction very seriously and we'd like to speak with you to see how we may be able to assist. A technical representative will be in touch. In the meantime, a suggestion that will improve pool coverage is to ensure the cleaner cable is entering the pool at the center of the length of the pool and that only the required amount of cable is allowed into the pool. Essentially, you should only allow enough cable into the pool to cover... read more

We have 4 dogs, and the Polaris VRX takes care of the hair and other large leaves with no problem. This little guy helps keep the fine debris out of my filter reducing the number of times I need to clean the filter each year.

Business response:

Thanks, John! Creating quality products that simplify your pool experience is what we aim to do every day. We appreciate your kind words. Have a nice swim season! Your Polaris Team

Does not pick up sand or fine dust.

Business response:

Hello Jose, Thanks for choosing the Polaris VRX iQ+! Your trust and satisfaction are our top priorities. We recommend trying the R0517800 Fine Filter Canister or the R0535800 Ultra Fine Sand/Silt Canister in place of the All Purpose Canister that came with your cleaner. That should help trap the sand and fine debris in the canister and keep it off your pool floor. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to improve your experience. All the best, Your Polaris Team

Unit works terribly, merchant where I bought it wouldn’t take it back. Waste of 1400 dollars

Business response:

Hi Sean, We're sorry you're experiencing issues with your Polaris VRX iQ+. Product quality and customer satisfaction are top priorities to us. We will have a technical support representative reach out to you. Thank you for your patience. Regards, Your Polaris Team

My issues are with the design engineering. It doesn't stay at the top long enough or move along the top edge to clean the walls along the edge. The powerful blast out the back of the unit keeps pushing the dirt on the bottom into the suspension of the water so it never gets sucked up by the unit. Lighter material such as leaves and silt are routinely left on the bottom, once they sink again, after a full deep clean cycle due to being pushed around by the water exhaust of the unit as it constantly rotates on the bottom after... read more

The machine gets tangled a lot. It is stupid when trying to clean my free form shaped pool. Within days it developed a weird brown stain near the connection port wire terminal. There is no intelligence to the machine which in my opinion makes it overpriced. My Roomba s9+ is leaps and bounds smarter than this machine.

Business response:

Hi Ruben, Thanks for sharing your valuable feedback! Here are some suggestions to improve the cord tangling issue: 1) Remove the cleaner from the pool and lay the cable across the pool deck to relieve coiled memory. 2) Allow the cleaner cable to enter the pool at the center of the length of the pool 3) Only use enough cable to reach the farthest point from the cable entry location 4) Gently toss the necessary cable across the pool water for even distribution instead of dropping the cable in a lump in one spot.
