This thing is complete garbage $1,700 for this thing and it doesn't even connect to the Alexa! On top of that when I bought it I was told that it did connect it was exactly the reason I bought purchased the darn thing. On top of that if you set a schedule but you don't want it to run that day you either have to delete the schedule or unplug it. I mean seriously??? This is a joke
I called Polaris directly before purchasing and I was assured by multiple tech staff it would clean the Baja pool shelf automatically. After purchasing it. It absolutely doesn't clean the Baja pool shelf like tech support said it would. False claims were made to me. Finally a Polaris rep reached out to me and she said they'd re-train their tech staff because they shouldn't have made the claim. I waited 2 months. I called and pretended to be new and asked if it would clean the Baja pool shelf automatically. They are still m... read more
The 1st one I purchased wouldn't climb the walls at all. Parts were supposed to be replaced but were never. shipped to the store so the store returned it and gave me a new one. The second one only climbs the walls on deep clean and fails to climb every so often. Additionally after paying so much money for this, to have to buy a new filter to pick up silt is insane as well. I am sure the climbing can be fixed in a firmware update so I implore you to do so.
The machine have broken after only one month of use. Clearing algorithm can be improved as machine always missing part of the pool.
We have 4 dogs, and the Polaris VRX takes care of the hair and other large leaves with no problem. This little guy helps keep the fine debris out of my filter reducing the number of times I need to clean the filter each year.
Does not pick up sand or fine dust.
Unit works terribly, merchant where I bought it wouldn’t take it back. Waste of 1400 dollars
My issues are with the design engineering. It doesn't stay at the top long enough or move along the top edge to clean the walls along the edge. The powerful blast out the back of the unit keeps pushing the dirt on the bottom into the suspension of the water so it never gets sucked up by the unit. Lighter material such as leaves and silt are routinely left on the bottom, once they sink again, after a full deep clean cycle due to being pushed around by the water exhaust of the unit as it constantly rotates on the bottom after... read more
The machine gets tangled a lot. It is stupid when trying to clean my free form shaped pool. Within days it developed a weird brown stain near the connection port wire terminal. There is no intelligence to the machine which in my opinion makes it overpriced. My Roomba s9+ is leaps and bounds smarter than this machine.
