I've had the VRX iQ+ robot for a year. It's been used infrequently for my inground pool a couple of times a week and at first, I was impressed for the most part. That is until this swimming season (1 year later) when I noticed the unit running irregular patterns, not climbing the walls to the waterline, eventually constantly going in circles in the deep end. The model claimed to be cleaning surface - this didn't happen starting day one. It worked well for the cleaning of the bottom of the pool. Now, a little over a year later, the robot stopped working completely. That's quite short life for something at this price level. Very disappointed.

My old $600 non-programmable Dolphin S200 was SO much better than this fancy $1,600 unit. This one doesn’t do as good a job at basic cleaning and is constantly getting stuck. It refuses to learn that my pool has a raised shelf with bar stools in the deep end so the only way to get it to clean up there is to do a standard floor/wall cleaning cycle, at which point it gets stuck in between the bar stools and then throws an error code and stops cleaning. The cord is terrible and gets all tangled as soon as it’s put in the pool as a result it doesn’t get to the deep end of the pool. I don’t think it does nearly as good a job as our old one which was a nautilus plus. Additionally I was supposed to get a $200 rebate and have yet to receive it.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the vacuum when it works, I love the design. I find that it has issues with the internet connection, even though the router is less than 10 feet away. But, why is this my third Polaris vaccum in 3 years., errors after errors, from 01 to 02 to 10, I do not comprehend for something so expensive ($1700.00+tax) to only lasting a year. After using it for three days, it quit working. I returned it to Leslie's and they kept it a week before calling me to pick it up. I don't think parts should have to be replaced on new equipment. I guess I got a lemon.

The machine just wanders around the pool leaving large areas uncleaned. Very seldom does it make it to the water line to clean. We have tried it on the extended clean and smart clean with similar results. The standard pressure Polaris model was as good as this over priced robot. We would return if we had the option!
