The chimney sweep went well and I was happy with the work. I was also pleased that he took the time to explain the situation with my damaged lining. However, it's been more than a month and I still have not received a quote for the new chimney lining. I have called twice and received assurances that I would be contacted right away with an estimate. I purchased an AL Big Deal for $135 for a chimney sweep and high def video inspection. I contacted the company by email twice, then by phone and they finally returned my call after three weeks of my initial contact. When he arrived, the service tech was very polite, professional and apparently did an excellent job cleaning the chimney. Upon completing the cleaning, he told us that we had a case of "stage 3 creosote build-up" and he stressed repeatedly and very strongly that we shouldn't use the chimney, and that we'd need an... read more

I am very happy with the service. Jeff is the owner of this company and did the service. He isknowledgeable, did a good job, explained his inspection findings well and made good, practical recommendations. I will use this company going forward. I had Jeff do chimney sweep as well as clean the dryer vent.

The service was excellent. The inspector called to let me know he was running a little late; 15 minutes. I appreciated that. He and his partner took care not to tread dirt on my light carpets. They even vacuumed my fireplace screen. I was impressed with the depth of their professionalism. Potomac Services performed an excellent chimney inspection and cleaning. Every visible surface was inspected. They could not use their camera because my chimney is prefabricated and the opening is not wide enough.

I purchased my house about 3 years ago and have actually never used the fireplace which is in the basement, I wanted to get it inspected before using to make sure it is safe. I purchased theAngie's List deal which was $125.00 for a camera inspection of chimney and a chimney sweep, I called the first day of the deal and was able to schedule an appointment within a week. We signed up for the special deal, which was the chimney inspection, with high definition video. The man visually inspected our chimney at the bottom and at the top, but he did not use a high definition video to look at the entire chimney. When asked, the company said it was not needed. Felt like a bait and switch. They should perform as advertised. Chimney inspection

Potomac Services is an excellent company. Customer Service, Professionalism, Timeliness, Quality Equipment, they have it. Casey was a very attentive technician. He did an excellent job cleaning the ducts and the dryer vent. I will be using this company again in the future and I would reccomend their services to anyone in the area.
