Inspected chimney. Took still photo which showed a space that allowed smoke to penetrate between wall and chimney. This can be dangerous. I was given a proposal for work to repair and rebuild firebox and install a top mounted damper cap or standard cap. Also would do "camara" once done, referring to the video that was promised in the original Groupon offer. I purchased a discount deal through Angie's List for a chimney sweep for $90. Potomac Services showed up on time and did a very good job. There was very little dust from their work, whereas with previous chimney sweeps I have ended up with black soot on my floor, tables, etc. They were professional and courteous. I would definitely use them again. Chimney Sweep

Showed up on time, very professional, clean and personable. Did a such a good job cleaning my chimney, I hired them to clean my dryer vents. Cleaned and inspected my chimney and made a video recording.

Excellent work expertly and cheerfully provided. Our home has not had duct cleaning since approx. 2000 so we were anxious to have a thorough job done at this time. We have a large, single, furnace/ac with many ducts. Our service technician, Erik, proved to be a real professional: courteous, technically capable, and friendly. Our ducts plus our dryer vent were perfectly cleaned in a short time. We are well pleased with the work and highly recommend Potomac Services to others.

Potomac Services arrived on time. The call took a total of one hour. Being concerned with chimney dust as I was, I was impressed they automatically spread out a large drop cloth to capture as much dirt as possible, then swept up afterwards. The lead service person was very knowledgable in terms of chimney maintenance and structure. He was very enthusiastic and interested in the work he does. This alone was very impressive. We were very pleased with them. I told the gentleman that was here that were were very pleased with his service. He seemed really concerned with quality of service that he was providing. So that was really good. They showed us a video of the inside of the chimney. I though it was and interesting adjunct to the services that they provide.I have never seen that before and it has always been something that I have been curious about. When called for appointment explained everything they were going to do. Jason and Casey came to perform service and explained everything they were doing. Prompt, professional, and clean. Would defineatly use them again.

Jason has cleaned the chimney for the past two years and Casey did the job this year. Casey arrived as scheduled, performed the cleaning and explained that all is well. I have been using Lindemann Anti Creo Soot spray for the past few years and it has made the chimney easyto clean and has prevented any build-up of creosote glaze. I spray a small amount on the logs after I have added them to the fire. As for the cleaning, I have been completely satisfied with Potomac Services for three years. Potomac Services did have to reschedule my work due to the illness of an employee. However, Potomac Services was very good about notifing me and selecting another date that fit my schedule. When the technican arrived, however, he discovered tha the type of wood stove that I have prevented him from the doing the services called for in the Angie's list coupon. Potomac Services said that I could notify you and I would get a refund of the $135.00 I paid for the coupon. No services were performed
