The tape is $17.00 and it waste a lot. Even when it is not destroying them for no reason. So far it has destroyed two $17.00 tapes. I do not see anything that I can be doing to cause it. I have read the Q&A about why and it should be a no brainier. No slack in the tape...brand new alkaline batteries placed correctly?
Does not come with power adaptor The function and ease of use are great! Zero complaints. HOWEVER... It should come with a T-Power ( 9V DC ) Ac Dc adapter. That should be included in the box with the label maker.
It works... It works. It wastes A LOT of label. Every time I use this I end up having to trim off an inch of the label on both sides. Luckily I don't use this enough. When I do use this it makes me very angry every time because it's so wasteful and you can't reuse that you print. I have even tried using a permanent marker to use the label that I have trimmed and even the marker smudges. Like I said, it works.
Upgraded to more label waste Extremely disappointed after upgrading my ancient Brother PT-80 to this newer PT-D210. The PT-D210 wastes massive amounts of label as mentioned in other reviews. I printed the same label on both printers and the different is stark (see photo).

this label maker is very poor quality and poorly made this label maker is very poor quality and poorly made. I purchased this item twice because the first one broke. Additionally, both tapes got jammed and after looking online there is no way to rectify this problem. customer service was not helpful and refused to replace the tape as it was past 90 days. it wastes a lot of tape as well. would not recommend
Maybe overkill, not crazy about it Easier to type with than the smaller models but requires more expensive tape and tends to waste it with big margins. Yes, even after adjusting margin size.
DO NOT BUY I have no idea how well this label maker functions because it did not come with a power supply. I went for this particular unit because it could function without disposable batteries. Upon further review of the description I can now see that the power supply is sold separately. What?????? If I wanted a cordless label maker I would have gotten a smaller hand held model, not this behemoth. The level of greed & arrogance required to not include a power supply with an electronic device is mind blowing. What a cowardly... read more
