Just suddenly stopped working. I know I've had it ... Just suddenly stopped working. I know I've had it for more than a year but dangit...I expect electronics to last and not be disposable. And of course it's no longer under warranty.
Worked for 3 MINUTES!!! Super stoked to get it. Put in new batteries and it worked long enough to select a font. Replaced those batteries with another set of new batteries and it lasted for three minutes. Just got home from a special trip to get brand new FRESH batteries and nothing will even show on the display. I've bought over 300 items on Amazon and this will be my first I return, if I can figure out how. By the way, I just ordered another exact same one and it'll be here in two days. Blade to cut dulled after 4 months! I loved loved loved this.....at 1st. But now the cutter blade isnt cutting! Its shredding the edge where it used to cut. It must have dulled out but how? I havent had it that long...its been 5 months and dulled a month ago after 4 months!. For this reason I removed 3 stars because its a huge issue! I could see if it was a few years but after 4 months? The description said 4 AAA batteries required but the actual ... The description said 4 AAA batteries required but the actual product received required 6 AAA batteries. It was one of the deciding factor for me when looking for a new label maker since my old one used up a lot of batteries. Also it didn’t work after I put in all the batteries, I keep getting a low battery warning.
BUYER BEWARE .... TOTAL WASTE Had a Brothers PT-65 ... was the best ... easy to use and basically economical tapes ... as you did not waste a lot of tape when printing .. but the PT-65 eventually died after many years of use. So I bought the PT-D210 as a replacement. I had read the reviews beforehand and was warned about tape waste before and after each label printed. Please BUYER BEWARE ... The gray L.E.D display is almost useless... The gray L.E.D display is almost useless... can vaguely see the numbers / letters prior to printing! I'm 49 yrs old, not 89. If you hold it on a inconvenient angle or use a flashlight you can see the numbers & letters somewhat. Tried 2 different NEW sets of batteries. Regular Energizers and new Lithium Energizers. wastes a lot of tape when printing/cartridge tape gets tangled inside It worked fine for awhile but I have to say it didn't get much use. Then the tape got tangled and I had to replace the cartridge which meant cutting it and it was no longer usable. Then it happened a second time after 2 uses. It also wasted a lot of tape on either side of the label which I had to cut off even after sizing. I should have purchased the protection plan. Now I am stuck with extra cartridges unless I buy another.
