No Cord But Good Label Maker Excellent label maker. Glad I had an extra label maker cord around because this one didn't come with one. I would have been very upset if the situation had turned out differently. Unfortunately, it stopped working - year 3.

Not the best value Less intuitive than expected. Used a charger from a prior model which also works on batteries unlike this one. Not sure what the advantage of TZe tape is over TZ.

Wastes so much tape Standard Brother complaint - it works fine, prints out nice labels, BUT, it wastes soooo much tape with its ridiculous margins. I would assume Brother knows exactly what they're doing and could easily remedy this but have chosen not to do so to increase profits. So, just be aware of this when purchasing and try to buy the label tape when it goes on sale.

Good product but it generates a lot of extra waste. It's a great label maker, but I wish it didn't leave an extra 1" of blank label on every label you print. I thought this was just a default setting, but looking closer I see that this is just part of the design based on the distance between the printhead and the cutter. The only way around this is to print labels in the continuous mode and then cut them with a pair of scissors. Since I have to cut off the 1" tail on every label anyway, this is the mode I use.

Seems like this thing is outdated-not a very useful interface - ... Seems like this thing is outdated-not a very useful interface - It comes with only a little sample of tape- so buy some tape if you do get this. -No power supply was in the box which was a bummer- it needed 6 triple A batteries- ( the batteries it came with were cheap and died within the first hour)

Get it on sale and its a great bargain.. careful the screen sratches easily I paid 10$ so really I can't complain. The cartridges cost as much as i paid for the unit on sale. Uses a lot of lead tape, so I suggest chain printing or setting the margins to small. Or you can always type many labels with a few spaces between to save the most tape. Printing one label at a time wastes about 2 inches of tape. Too bad this unit does't fit the larger labels. Used it to label all my spices, my drawer on my tool chest, and many other th... read more

Be aware: Uses "TZe" instead of "TZ" cartridges. Guess this will be okay, but be aware . . . this new model does not use the old TZ tape cartridges. They use TZe. I have a bunch of old ones and bought new ones. Didn't really see that there was a change. Just ordered TZ for P-Touch. Have to go back to the old one with cutter problems until I've used them all up.
