Seller will not take return on defective item Though the unit arrived defective, there is no way to return it. Trying to use return links you to an non helpful tech but no way to return item
Too complicated! This is really hard to use, one needs an advance college degree to figure out all of the options. I ended up donating it to Goodwill after a couple of weeks. I found one much simpler to use at Costco that came with 3 tape cartridges for less cost.
Feed mechanism design is poor The feed mechanism is designed such that when you close the cartridge compartment cover a plastic tang on the underside of the cover engages the pressure arm which forces the tape against the roller so it can feed after printing. The problem is that the tang doesn't put enough pressure on the arm to engage the tape to the roller. if I open the cover and manually depress the arm as far as it will go then the machine prints fine, but then I can't close the compartment cover. There was no adapter included in the box. I printed labels and the tape that came with the machine was faulty.

Wastes tape and doesn’t automatically cut. It’s fine if you’re doing very small projects but as people have said printing individual labels wastes tape, although the “chain” option helps if you’re doing many of the same labels. My biggest thing I didn’t notice is that you manually have to cut each label. I’ll probably be returning this and getting the one with a automatic cutter.
the tape jams non stop i can't get this thing to work without jamming the tape each time i use it
Not user-friendly Every time I print a label, I have to press the Print button twice. The first press is to select the # of copies. I don't recall ever needing more than one copy of a label. It is very irritating to have to press the button twice. I would return it, but it took me 4 months to call the manufacurer about it, and Amazon's return period was expired. I don't suppose the manufacturer will accept a return because there is no fault. I suppose I am stuck with it. What was Brother thinking when they added this "Featur... read more
