Very complicated for no reason This machine is very cute and it has a few pros in my opinion: can be battery operated or you can choose to power it through the adapter. Also it has many Features to toggle through and close to design your label how would like. For the cons: the sample tape that came with the package jammed almost immediately causing the label not to separate properly and making me throw out a whole spool of tape. not worth it the label will always get stuck. Wasted so much label that i had to buy a other extra labels
Waste of tape Heavy duty machine. It just waste so much tape! Like a lot! I tried trying all the different features to see if I can use less tape but wow....won't be worth it unless you print huge letters.
No longer Works I bought this label marker in May of 2019. I used it for less than 4 total hours and it no longer works. The return window ended one month to the date of purchase. I would be happy if the seller offered a one-time free replacement. Thank you.
Tape waster and printing 12pt and below sub-standard I bought this cable printer to replace an older Brother printer which I gave to my nephew. It has all the features of the my previous printer and more but with some annoying presets. First off when you print there's about one inch of blank tape followed by a colon that's designed to do one thing only - to WASTE one inch of tape and there no way to adjust it out and the tapes are not exactly cheap. If replacing an older Brother P-Touch your TZ tapes are no good on this TZe tape model My bad, didn't read the fine print and when I replaced my trusty Brother P-Touch label maker didn't realize they had changed the tape design. This unit will not accept your old stock TZ labels. So while going to an environmentally friendly cartridge I am forced to dispose of the other unused labels to the environment. What a waste of my money! No backlit display. Some of the print in the User Guide was too small for me to read.
It wastes material I wish brother would get their act together and not have the machine waste tape. Shame on you! Even on the chain cutting mode, it still cuts off waste at the beginning of the print. I know buy another cheaper priced tape just for this reason. Cut it out brother.
Item doesn’t work, no refund Received a defective product and I am unable to return. The label maker presented a “cut error” message every other print.
